Terms of service

1. The service

ClickShield counts the clicks on your Google Ads per device on the domains you add. When a device opens your website more often than the rules of one of your pools allow, ClickShield flags it and adds its latest IP address to the Google Ads campaigns linked to that pool as an IP exclusion. It removes the exclusion at the next sync with Google Ads after the flag expires, or when you lift the flag. You can also flag a device by hand; such a flag lasts until you lift it.

On its own, ClickShield never changes or removes IP exclusions it did not create; on the Campaigns page you can add or remove any exclusion yourself.

2. Your account

• Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at once about any use of your account you did not allow.
• You are responsible for what is done in your account and for the people you give access to.

3. Your domains and Google Ads accounts

• Add only domains you control; ClickShield checks this with a DNS record.
• Install the ClickShield script only on your own websites.
• Connect only Google Ads accounts you are allowed to manage. ClickShield changes them only through the access you grant, and you can disconnect at any time. While an account is disconnected, ClickShield can neither add nor remove exclusions in it, so those it added stay in your campaigns.

4. Your visitors’ data

You decide to use ClickShield on your websites, so you must tell your visitors about it in your privacy policy and, where the law requires it, ask for their consent before the ClickShield script runs. We process your visitors’ data on your behalf as a processor in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); our privacy policy describes what we collect.

5. What ClickShield cannot promise

• Several people can share one IP address, for example in an office or on a mobile network, so an exclusion can also keep your ads from people you did not mean to exclude. You can lift any flag.
• A device that changes its IP address can see your ads again until it is flagged again.
• ClickShield does not catch every invalid click, and it does not decide what Google Ads charges you.
• The service can be unavailable at times, for example during maintenance. Exclusions already in Google Ads stay there in the meantime.

6. Fees

Plan prices, domain and paid-click limits, and billing terms are published on the ClickShield website and in your account. You may cancel a trial at any time before it ends.

7. Liability

ClickShield is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, Google Ads advertising spend, or actions and limitations of third-party services such as Google and Fingerprint.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using ClickShield at any time: lift your flags so ClickShield removes its exclusions from your campaigns, disconnect Google Ads, and request account deletion in your settings or through our support. Exclusions left in your campaigns after your account is deleted stay there until you remove them in Google Ads.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, threatens system security, or abuses the service, with notice sent to the email address on the account.

9. Changes to these terms

We publish every change to these terms on this page, with the date it takes effect, and give at least 15 days’ advance notice of material changes.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, and any disputes are decided by the court of competent jurisdiction in Zagreb.
